The first time I understood the power of unashamed, artistic freedom was writing poetry. I am grateful to say that I am a 5x published poet and have released my own collection of poems, my words sounded of maraschino cherries (2023).
Please feel free to browse my debut collection, and if moved, to purchase my book.

I’m blessed to have married an artist who created multiple promotional films for this collection. The film below captures the physical book’s proofing process just weeks before it’s release.
My now husband and I first became friends through our collaboration on this short film, “cranberry and pearls,” bringing cinema to one of the collection’s a deeply cherished poems.
Filmed in one night, the project featured cast and crew willing to portray a story of disposability and relational tension.

I appeared on ABC36's Good Day Kentucky to talk about "my words sounded of maraschino cherries" and why poetry is vital to understanding adulthood!

Books are on their way! I wanted to make sure that those who ordered maraschino cherries received a package with extra fondness and care :)
Cincinnati's Household Books featured me as a guest poet for its writer's collective, Dogeared!

Flipping through the book's first proof!
A still from Ian's "cranberry and pearls" short film.
Cherries collection featured in Household books' local writer's section.

Some of the cute mementos for my release party - hand painted mugs and precious totes designed by a local artist, Grace Statzer.
